The Macy

Melanie Hall – Architecture & Concept design
2005

Previously called Alpha10, the re-named after Melanie’s daughter, The Macy was intended to be an intimate urban boutique hotel in Bali, potentially the first of its kind at that time.

Designed to be Bali’s first ‘Hip hotel’, The Macy was destined to be the place to be-and-be-seen, fusing urban lifestyle within a tropical environment. Challenging the ubiquitous Bali boutique hotel, The Macy was designed to include 25 rooms and three penthouses, a 60-seat restaurant, bar & lounge, a large communal “Palm Springs” pool within landscaped gardens, and an in-house gym, all complemented by world-class service and leading-edge design.
